in good old ireland again

well im back a full week now done nothing but play on paddy powers had a few good days and then lose again .good to see nothing change haha.but ended up2k plus for the week .

it took me the full week to get my body back to normal after 2 weeks of drinking in vegas as i dont go to our irish pubs a lot since the smoking ban here .as for my 2 weeks in vegas well what a experince it gave me more joy about my game than anything else .

it showed me that with a bit of luck i could play with the best there and i will be going back next year for more .i will be updating my blog on a less frequent as i did in vegas but i will after big touries i will play in this year .next one will be connies one in kerry .so gl to everyone who lookup my blog in your own poker play and hope to meet ye in some live game for a chat.

leaving vegas

well i got only 14hrs to go before i go back to good old ireland and the nitty gritty of home but i think i will like to get back to the old firma tirma really while its been great been here i dont think i could live this life style for too long .

Been in vegas for the first time was great just living the dream of playing in the greatest tourie thats there was great and getting passed the first day even better but i think that once a year is enough to be here .u get pretty bored after to long unless u do other things than poker here

Which is why if i do come here next year i wil do things a bit different i think . there are plenty of shows to go to .grand canon to see and loads of other stuff u can find to do.

if some one does decide to come here for 2 to 4 weeks next year i do think u should make plans to try other things here otherwise u get fed up of it all quick . u can only play so much poker and u do need a break from it sometimes .

well i do hope to get back here next year and will be starting the build my vegas fund as soon as i go back .well this has been fun doing and i will be keeping this blog up .till the next post which will be from good old ireland gl in all your poker plays and may the cards be good to ye all

gone but happy

well i did not last to long in day 2 . after getting up to 21k i pushed against the big blind only to find him with kk and i did not improve so there the end of my dream for 2007.

after leaving the tourie room i felt bad for losing so quick but on futher thought i am happy with myself with my total play over the whole week here inculding my winning the seat in sat the one and only one i played in .On refection I could not have played any better than i did .

i would like to have cashed as the cash would have been nice as i came over here with just enough to get by which is not enough really . i found the 2, 5 omaha game very soft here and will be coming back next year for that alone .but u must be well tanked to play the game rightly and be able to take the ups and downs .

i like to thank all my friends who phoned me wishing me well in tourie and those who sent me emails and hope to come back next year better for this trip here.

short stacked but still in

well played my first day and got through with 15100 chips . well thats ok part one of my plan is done so now to part 2 which i think will be a lot harder but who cares i did what i wanted to do .

it was the best time of my poker life to play here and survive day one and it was a very long day starting at 12 noon and we finished at 3.30 am next day .

the whole day went ok for me untill the last hour when i reraised with QQ to be called . kt6 floped checked by both of us . 8 on turn i bet out to be called and when 9 came on river he went all in with me having to fold .

i kept plugging in there after that to finished the nights play .i asked him after what he had he said he floped small set and i was unlucky as he was not going to call my reraise at all but felt he was to short stacked and gambled .

having a rest day now and i will go out tonight for dinner and a few buds will have a early night and get rested for tomorrow .

how im going to play tomorrow i dont know yet as i will see what cards i get in first few hds .but i dont think i stay to long below 10k as i will try to double up soon or go bust.

waking up in vegas

o well just spent friday here meeting the nice people from betfair and had dinner with estelle and glynn which was nice

then is was back to the drinking grind that goes on . the first day outs then start coming and we get there bad beat storys for the next few hrs .

we all keep looking out for our friends hoping we wont see them till the first day is over .but if they do come out we give them all our support that we can but most have just played in the biggest game of there life and really dont care win or lose .

play finished at 4 bells here thats some long day but for the lucky few who are still there it was worth it . another few beers then and its nearly bed time its 8 bells here now so i decided enough was enough and time for bed .

on the way back to my place i met mr parkinson wat a nice guy we had a good confer about the tourie and a few laughs about vegas and the life style here haha .

how to play poker well in vegas

well just learned h ow to play poker well here in vegas .

u first go drinking with the great big al and then u get joined by nic nic and all his friends .then u carry on with kpnuts because he is more likely be the last one to finish .u look at your watch then to get the fright of your life its 9.30 am and the tourie starts at 12 am
so now its time to start drinking the cokes to sober up a bit for tourie no point going to bed now . then go down and invest 1080 dollars into tournie now u are half ways there up all night drunk and money invested .

now next thing to do is go down to were u are going to play and find were u are sitting before the tourie starts incase u lose your way later now remember this place u must get back here before the tourie starts very imporant thing this is .

now the tourie begings u play like a rock and only play premium hds that gives u a bit of a rock style look to other players they will lay down big hds to u . next u make a big call with a middle type hd against a player with a small stack whos been playing with any type hd mostly kt or kj type hds u must not put all your chips in but more than other people would call with u need a9 or a8 suited type hd for this .

now lady luck needs to be with u here but if she is u now have a good few chips , next wait for break and first hd or maybe 2nd or 3rd hd back make big raise with hd of tt or jj u will be called or put in for reraise here now they seen u played crap hd early on .they think u will lay a middle type hd down but this is the time u will double up or go bust

, if lady luck is in your favour u have now got enough chips to play only premium hds again .then its is up to the gods .

at this time u are looking at your chips and having seen thats there only 150 players left and u really can win here u sober up quick . u are playing the rush here u are not tired nomore and u play like a rock and only make moves when in position and with good premium hds .

well thats what i did now im playing in main event wat a way to go .if this helps anyone else then its been worth it i suppose no sleep for 2 days drinking for half that and main event ticket for biggest event in the world was worth it .

here in vegas

i just started this blog to first try to tell someone how to be a nice person 1 year ago . but 1 year gone well no difference .so i think that some day he might yet grow up but whose to know he might not. well i do hope so because he is a nice person if u can get over his own self belive that he is someone thats better than everyone else . well we all wish him well
